Well, after much procrastinating and almost giving it up altogether, I have decided to blog again. But I'm not making any promises...there may be another LULL or maybe I'll actually consistently write again.
For now, here's a little catch-you-up on life:
- I've been hired as the Preschool & Children's Ministry Associate at my church! I'm totally stoked about it and definitely excited about where God's leading. More to come on this topic!!
I created this logo for our children's ministry. Fun stuff! - I'm still in school online, just taking one class right now as I adjust to working again. It's a class on Children's Ministry, so I'm LOVING it so far.
- Since I haven't blogged since OCTOBER (omg, how embarrassing!), I'll let you all know that the Holidays were good - Thanksgiving at Grandma's, Christmas Eve at older sister's (with parents), and Christmas Day with husband's family. Overall, a success in spending time with almost everyone (we missed those that we didn't get to see!!!). AND, fairly good success on convincing family that we really don't need any gifts. (We still got a lot...but less than previous years. I DO want to start looking into the Compassion and WorldVision gifts for next Christmas!)
- Alabama won the National Championship! WHOO-WHOO!
I'm also starting to memorize the book of James and I'll use the blog to help me stay accountable. I know I slacked on my SSMT verses last year, but this is going to be different. A whole book of the Bible! Here's what I have so far:
James, a bondservant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes dispersed abroad: Greetings. Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, ask it of God and He will give it to you...
Not completely sure about that last part, so I'll keep working on it. Our women's Bible study group is doing Beth Moore's JAMES study right now and she encouraged us to memorize it. I'm excited about hiding SO MUCH of God's Word in my heart. I really want it to STICK though.
It's good to be back!
